Santa Claws - A Christmas novella

From dark start to delicious ending, this unusual Christmas tale is romantic and uplifting. Nothing will ever be the same again after Jeff is accused of threatening to murder his wife. Or Evie is bruised one time too many by her abusive boyfriend. Or Santa Claws the cat starts howling under the house.

This delightfully different novella brings eventual happiness for everyone – including added joy for Christian and Fiona who you first met in my novel THE WRONG SISTER. Come and spend a sunny summer Christmas in Wellington, New Zealand. You could even adopt a kitten….

What a great holiday read. Jeff and Evie are colleagues with similar difficulties. With awful timing, both of their relationships break down right on Christmas. Combining forces because of a immediate need to find somewhere, anywhere, to stay, Jeff and Evie doss down in an untenanted house. In lieu of rent, they agree to do up the house while they each sort out their respective relationship problems. Of course, since this is a romance, a relationship grows, love blossoms and the true simplicity of Christmas secures that feel-good factor.

This is the ideal, relaxing holiday read. Not too short, not too long but just right, Ms Pearson is at her storytelling best.

Christmas in Wellington

This is part of the view Jeff and Evie had from the deck of Christian and Fiona's big house overlooking Wellington Harbour. Oriental Bay in summer - with sand specially transported from the South Island.
