Friends for you to meet

I'm pleasantly exhausted after two very long drives and three wonderful days of full-on annual conference. Romance Writers of New Zealand's special guests from the USA included blogger and author Kristen Lamb, author Christie Craig (amazing!!!) and agents and editors from top overseas publishing houses.

Kris Pearson RWNZ conference

So who's in the photo? And were we a bit tipsy?

Well, first there's me, who unwisely stood closest to the camera and therefore looks extra large.

We have lovely Diana Fraser who writes passionate stories including The Mackenzies series and the Desert Kings sheikhs series.

Center is Tracey Alvarez - another Wellingtonian, and wonderful author of the Stewart Island and Bounty Bay series. See her latest book at the end of this.

Then we have my long-time friend and roomie, Kendra Delugar - caught before she smiled, so we're going to have another better shot of each of us in a moment. Kendra's debut novel is Under the Stars.

On the right - the uber-talented Serenity Woods. She lives many hours' drive away, so it was fantastic to have a big catch-up in person.

I've put a link to each website under the names so you can click and catch up with all our books and news.

And here's a second better shot of Kendra and me. I'm glammed up for the Awards Dinner, and she's ready for the Live Your Dreams Cocktail party - dressed as fireman Gabe from her novel. I wasn't so brave! (Who would I be? Anna in the white bikini from Hard to Regret? Nooooo.....)

Did I get a Bookbub ad this time?
Persistence pays off. I applied a second time and they said yes. September 10 is the magic day, so we'll see what that does to my rankings of All for Love - the three series starters that's currently FREE until then.

And here's the blurb for Tracey's new Bounty Bay novel - special pre-order price of $2.99, which will increase to $3.99 on release day, September 15th. Order yours now from the links at the end.

An idiot’s guide to falling for your best friend’s widow…

Former rugby star Isaac Ngata was New Zealand’s golden boy until five years ago when a tragic accident took the life of his friend and team mate. Now he’s a pariah with a screwed up knee and a burden of guilt toward his friend’s wife and daughter. Best thing for him to do is sink into the anonymous safety of his hometown. An even better thing to do would be to stop picturing Natalie in his arms.

For someone who doesn’t know a dummy pass from a drop kick, Natalie Fisher just wants to keep her late husband’s passion for sport in the past. But their teenage daughter’s rugby team is in desperate need of a coach and the man she can’t stand to be around has volunteered. A long buried attraction flares to life between Natalie and Isaac, one they can’t run far or fast enough to avoid. Soon rugby fever isn’t the only thing heating up Bounty Bay. Crossing the line never had such high stakes…
